Cambodian Vintage Music Archive Inc., a 501(C)3 nonprofit organization based in Clearwater, Florida, invites you, your friends and families to join our Cambodian cultural night. We will be screening the documentary “Don’t Think I’ve Forgotten; Cambodia’s Lost Rock and Roll” by John Pirozzi, followed by an acoustic music performance and a live DJ set. Proudly presented to you at Clearwater Community Volunteers Center.

4:45PM Guests are moved into seminar room for the film
5:00PM The film “Don’t Think I’ve Forgotten” begins
7:00PM Film ends, guests move back out to gathering space where the food is served.
7:20PM CVMA thanks the guests for coming and gives a short introduction to the records of the late Cambodian artists.
7:30PM Young Cambodians play a few songs while the guests listen and mingle.

Faded Reels: The Golden Era of Cambodian Cinema
Faded Reels brings to light the essential contributions to world cinema made by Cambodia’s greatest pre-war directors.
Join the New York Southeast Asia Network (NYSEAN), Mekong NYC, the Ford Foundation, and the Weatherhead East Asian Institute for a double-feature screening of Cambodia's pre-war films, followed by the NYC book launch of Faded Reels: The Art of Four Cambodian Filmmakers 1960-1975 by Dr. LinDa Saphan, Sociology Professor at the College of Mount Saint Vincent which covers the early history of Cambodian cinema and four pioneering directors: Ly Bun Yim, Tea Lim Koun, Yvon Hem, and Uong Citta (aka Kanthouk) with a Q&A session with Dr. Saphan and Cambodian film collector Nate Hun, co-founder of CVMA.

The Cambodian Golden Age Forum is part of the biggest festival "Season of Cambodia" closing event. The forum speaks about how and why the music in the Golden Era must be preserved. The special guests are the legendary singer So Savoeun and Mr Oum, the CVMA president. The event is co-organized by the Cambodian Living Arts and hosted by Marylou Cler.
